An exciting conclusion to an enthusiastically anticipated event. The roar of the crowd told all of the tale of what was happening on screen as Kababayan, national hero, politician and professional boxer (Emmanuel Dapidran) Manny Pacquiao won round after round. The black eye and swollen face of his opponent, Mexican-American Antonio Margarito Montiel drew no pity from this crowd. It was Manny all the way and all left for home with great pride in their hearts.

Q-stirs did their best to host the standing room only visitors as many had to leave for other venues to see the fight. On scene were many of the who's who of the Filipino community, and many other friendly faces from many other happy events over the past 35 years or more. Ditas Carpio & family from Hey Philippines!, Amelita Navarro & Roberto Pao of Ideas in Motion, Key Solutions Realty, and Suki Market. Marie Jean Ogali of Sun Life Financial, Landy, Manny and Andy, retired, while Eddie remains associated with Windsor Pinoys, Filipino Basketball Association. A couple of beauty queens from days gone by, friends from Latter Day Saints, Catholic parishes all over town and other Christians were all together to share in the collective experience without an ounce of Pancit in sight.

It was a pleasure to see you all and I look forward to the next big event. Thank you for the invite Reuben.
